A new state program to support combatants (CV) and persons with disabilities as a result of war will be implemented in Ukraine from January 15, 2025. The initiative aims to improve the physical and psychological health of veterans by promoting their rehabilitation through physical activity.
Who can receive payments?
Payments will be available to two main categories of citizens:
- Participants in hostilities who have the appropriate status.
- Persons with disabilities resulting from participation in hostilities.
How to apply for funds?
In order to get help, you need to follow a few simple steps:
- Register through the “Diya” portal.
- Provide the necessary documents confirming the status of a disabled person or a person with a disability.
- Wait for the application to be processed, after which the funds will be credited to your bank account.
How can aid be spent?
State aid, in the amount of 1,500 hryvnias, will be provided once a quarter. These funds can only be used to pay for the services of sports facilities, such as:
- Gym memberships.
- Group fitness classes, including yoga, aerobics, and dance classes.
- Personal training with a trainer.
- Attending adaptive physical exercise classes for people with disabilities.
The quarterly assistance will amount to 1,500 hryvnias and will be provided in cashless form, without the possibility of spending the funds on other needs. The main goal of this initiative is to support the physical and mental health of veterans who, after the ordeal they have experienced, need help with adaptation and rehabilitation. This will also contribute to strengthening the general health of combatants and their psychological recovery.
