A new service has appeared in the popular application "Kyiv Digital", which will greatly facilitate the lives of public transport passengers. From now on, the virtual travel validation function is available in all municipal buses, trams and trolleybuses of the capital. This innovation is aimed at making the use of transport more convenient and modern.
This was stated by Petro Olenych, Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration for the Exercise of Self-Government Powers in the Field of Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Digitalization (CDTO).
“Now everything you need to pay for your fare is always at hand – in your smartphone. Use the new service and share your impressions. Feedback is important to us,” said Olenych.
To use the new service, you need to:
- open the “Kyiv Digital” mobile application,
- select the “Fare payment” service,
- scan the QR code located in the transport cabin, or enter it manually by selecting the appropriate type of transport.
After that, you can pay for your trip in a convenient way: with a transport card, QR ticket or bank card. The application will automatically record the used trip, which you can present to the controller.
For convenience, the fare payment mark with validation right in the application is different from other icons in the “Kyiv Digital” feed.
As a reminder, the Kyiv Defense Council will consider a number of issues at its upcoming meeting. One of them will concern the development of an algorithm for the movement of ground public transport during an air alert.
