The panel of judges recognized these assets as unfounded after prosecutors of the Specialized Anti -Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) proved that real estate and cars were issued to the wife of a police officer who had no official income. In 2022, the woman became the owner of an apartment of 95 square meters in Kiev, which was declared for the symbolic 15 thousand hryvnias. In addition, she received the Volkswagen Touareg car for 3 thousand hryvnias.
The case of Yuri Imidan was publicized after the publication of the head of the Anti -Corruption Center Martini Boguslavts on the Ukrainian Truth. The journalist drew attention to the dubious schemes of acquisition of property and the absence of official income in the wife of a police officer, which could indicate a hidden form of enrichment.
The court agreed with the prosecutor's arguments and satisfied the SAP claim in full. This means that the apartment and car will be transferred to the state income. However, the decision of the Wax can be appealed on appeal.
