On the night of Friday, April 19, Russia again attacked Ukraine with rockets and shells. Explosions thundered in the cities of Dnipro and Odesa.
In Dnipro, one of the rockets hit a residential high-rise building, causing a fire, Serhii Lysak, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military-civilian administration, said.
"A five-story building is on fire in our city. It is partially destroyed. There may be people under the rubble," he wrote in his Telegram channel.
Later, Lysak noted that in addition to the residential building, two more infrastructure objects were damaged. 2 dead and 15 injured were registered in the city.
Mayor of Dnipro Borys Filatov added that the rocket attack took place in the center of the city.
"It happened in the very heart of the city. The victims were civilians," he wrote on his official Facebook account.
Lysak also noted that there is damage in other regions of the region, in particular in Kryvorizky, where an infrastructure facility was damaged.
In addition, the shelling affected the Synelnyki district, where there are dead and wounded, including children. One of the wounded is in serious condition. 4 private houses were partially destroyed, 8 more were damaged.
