On the night of July 5, 2025, a record low temperature was recorded in Lviv - only +5.7 ° C. This is a new minimum value for this date, which exceeded the previous record set in 1974. Then on the night of July 5, thermometers showed +8.1 ° C. Thus, this year's July has become the coldest in Lviv in the last 51 years.
This was reported by the Lviv Regional Center for Hydrometeorology, emphasizing that such temperature "swings" - the result of unstable atmospheric processes characteristic of the current summer.
Today, July 5, the weather in Ukraine also shows a variable character. According to the Ukrhydromet Center, changing cloudiness is expected throughout the country. In the northern and central regions, short-term rains, thunderstorms, hail and squalls up to 15-20 m/s are possible at night. Such phenomena are also predicted in the east and southeast of the country.
In the rest of the territory - without significant rainfall. Temperature by regions fluctuate within:
-
at night 13-18 °, in the west-9-14 °,
-
in the afternoon 23-28 °, in the south-up to 33 °.
The predominant wind is northwest, 7-12 m/s.
Meteorologists urge Ukrainians to closely monitor the weather forecasts and wear according to the conditions, because even in the midst of summer, unpredictable temperature anomalies are possible.
