The Russian occupation army continues to attack the civilian population, carrying out missile strikes on the cities of Ukraine. Kharkiv became the new object of this cruel population. The house that was hit by a Russian rocket in the morning of January 23 became one of the whole.
The Mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov, shared shocking details of the events at the telethon. The Russian occupation army attacked the city with three rockets during the past day. After the evening attack on January 23, nine people were injured, including four children.
"As of now, all houses in Kharkiv have been connected to heating after the previous morning missile strike , except for the house that was hit by the missile. Two houses remained without water supply. Six more houses remain without electricity. But the energy workers are working on restoring the network," concluded the mayor.
One of the strikes led to the destruction of an office building and a scientific institution, as well as damage to the village, cafes and shops. The administrative building was destroyed. As a result of the attack, eight people died, including a 4-year-old child who was rescued from the rubble.
"After the attack on Kharkiv, 40 people are in the city's hospitals. Several people are seriously injured, doctors are fighting for their lives. As of now, eight people are known to have died, including a child who was pulled from the rubble. After the continuation of the work, the victim may be more," Mayor Terekhov added.
Rescuers, a number of volunteers and medical personnel are working tirelessly, resuming the demolition of the rubble and providing assistance to the injured. However, the danger and threat of new victims is far from over.
