German Ambassador Martin Jaeger announced the arrival in Ukraine of the third air defense system, which was handed over by his country. He announced this on his Twitter.
Yeger confirmed that the third Patriot air defense system has already arrived in Ukraine from Germany. He emphasized that this system will help to significantly improve the protection of the population and infrastructure.
The diplomat also noted that the Ukrainian crew had successfully completed the necessary training in the maintenance of this air defense system in Germany.
Earlier, the Minister of Defense of Germany, Boris Pistorius, announced the start of training for the Ukrainian crew on the third Patriot air defense system for Ukraine in May. He also noted that Germany is transferring a quarter of its stockpile of these weapons to Ukraine and does not plan to provide more.
In addition, Romania also announced its plans to transfer the Patriot anti-aircraft missile complex to Ukraine.
