Ukraine will receive the first long -range tools in the near future to allow targets in the depths of the Russian territory. This was stated by General Bundesver Christian Freuding in an interview with the German TV channel ZDF.
According to him, the funding of this new military assistance package is fully assumed by the German government. It is about the supply of hundreds of weapons, the first part of which will be delivered by the end of July 2025.
"We have to provide Ukraine with systems that will be able to beat warehouses, team points, aerodromes and even planes at a long distance," said General Freuding.
He acknowledged that the situation on the front is difficult, and Russian troops have been on the offensive for weeks or even months. Therefore, according to him, long -range weapons can be a turning point that will not only defend Ukraine, but also move to point blows to critical objects of Russians.
It is expected that such support will also enhance Ukraine's air defense, allowing not only to destroy hostile planes even to the takeoff, but also to expand the depth of shock actions.
The general's statement appeared against the background of new alarming assessments of Western analysts: missiles for air defense systems in Ukraine can end in a few weeks. Therefore, the decision to transfer shock weapons looks as part of the strategy of immediate strengthening of Ukrainian defense.
