The German authorities are considering the version about the possible involvement of Ukrainian state bodies in the undermining of the Nord Stream-1 and Nord Stream-2 gas pipelines that took place in September 2022. This was stated by the Prosecutor General of Germany, Jens Rommel, in a comment for the publication Spiegel .
According to him, the identities of 2 suspects in the Nord Streams bombing have already been identified. Rommel called it "a success that was not expected at the beginning."
According to him, one of the current issues of the investigation is the possible management by state structures of an operation to blow up pipelines.
It will be recalled that, according to the version of the German investigation, the gas pipelines were blown up by a group of Ukrainians acting under the command of the then head of the Armed Forces Valery Zaluzhny.
At the same time, there is conflicting information about whether President Zelensky was involved in this. Some mass media write that he approved the operation. Others did not even know about her. The third, that he knew, but did not approve.
Ukraine denies any involvement in blowing up gas pipelines.
