Germany has launched its own production of missiles for Patriot: Berlin will be able to hand them to Ukraine without consent with the United States

In Germany, a production line for the manufacture of missiles to Patriot defense systems, which is completely independent of the United States, is officially launched. This step opens up to Berlin the opportunity to independently make decisions on the transfer of such missiles to Ukraine - without the need to agree with Washington.

This was announced during a briefing in Kiev by Major General Christian Freuding, Chief Coordinator of the Assistance Staff of Ukraine in the Ministry of Defense of Germany. According to him, the first rockets of German production will be ready for supply approximately in 2026–2027.

Freuding stressed that the new production line is fully controlled by European partners and does not depend on the technological or legal influence of the United States. Thus, Germany will be able to promptly make a decision to transfer defense weapons to Ukraine.

The General also assured that Germany will remain a devoted partner of Ukraine in war and will support the Ukrainian army "regardless of value". In 2024, Germany provided 9 billion euros for military assistance to Ukraine, which includes both the supply of equipment and training of the Ukrainian military.

“We are well aware of what trials the people and the Armed Forces of Ukraine are experiencing. Therefore, you can rely on Germany, our support. We will continue to fight until the end, to success, ”Freuding said.

This step can significantly strengthen Ukraine's capacity in the field of air defense, especially in conditions where Russian rocket attacks remain a daily threat.
