Norway will deny asylum to refugees from Western Ukraine

Norway has decided not to provide asylum to refugees from Western Ukraine, as this territory is not currently a zone of active hostilities. This was stated by the Minister of Justice of Norway, Emilia Enger Møll, according to the official website of the country's government.

According to the decision, Lviv, Volyn, Ternopil, Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk and Zakarpattia regions are considered safe for return.

As the minister notes, every tenth Ukrainian who will come to Norway in 2024 will be one of them.

The decision does not apply to Ukrainians who have already received protection in Norway.
