A notary in Kiev illegally registered ownership of imaginary homes

A private notary in Kiev has become a criminal proceedings after using counterfeit documents registered ownership of non -existent homes, which allowed the new "owners" to assign land plots of communal property. Operatives of the Department of Internal Security and investigators of the Kiev police exposed the notary in abuse of their powers.

A woman who was a public registrar-private notary, on the basis of counterfeit documents, registered ownership of imaginary houses in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv. She, knowing that there are no residential buildings at the specified addresses, illegally amended the Database of the State Register of Real Property Rights. This allowed her to give the legal status of "ghostly" objects.

Thanks to this manipulation, the new "owners" were able to assign land owned by the territorial community of Kiev. The evidence collected by the operatives became the basis for the accusations of a notary for abuse of powers and unauthorized actions with information processed in electronic systems.

Criminal articles that the notary is accused provides punishment for up to five years in prison. Investigation is currently underway to persons involved in this illegal equipment.

The procedural guidance in the case is carried out by the Holosiivsky District Prosecutor's Office.
