The artificial creation of "heroes" from among people close to those in power is a topic that we will reveal in a series of our publications. After all, political technologists are already preparing these "new heroes" for leadership positions after the end of the war, speculating on the topic of patriotism, honor and dignity.
Our first "hero" will be the star of TV screens - Serhiy Filimonov, whose popularity began to grow after he was scandalized, but still made the commander of one of the most famous military units - "Da Vinci Wolves".

Volunteer of the "Right Sector" Dmytro Kotsyubailo with the call sign "Da Vinci" is an unconditional Hero of Ukraine, he devoted himself to the war against the Russian invaders. From the first days of the war, Da Vinci took part in combat operations, and in 2016 he was appointed commander of the first assault company of the DUK PS.
In 2021, Dmytro Kotsyubailo, being fully worthy of this title, received the Hero of Ukraine and became the first volunteer to be awarded this title for life.
However, the fact that Dmytro's award was organized by his fiancée, Alina Mykhaylova, is significant. It was she who "pressured" Volodymyr Zelenskyi to award Da Vinci with the highest state award. "Squeezed" - as this award was extremely necessary for her own political PR. Kotsyubailo himself, according to the testimony of his close entourage, never sought publicity.
After the start of the full-scale war, the Da Vinci Wolves assault company was reformed into the 1st separate assault battalion as part of the 67th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and on March 7, 2023, Kotsyubailo died in the battle for Bakhmut.
The death of Dmytro Kotsyubail was skillfully used by Alina Mykhaylova to build her own political career: "accepting the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky III degree from the President, the head of our medical service "ULF" Alina Mykhaylova gave the President of Ukraine the personal combat chevron of our commander Dmytro "Da Vinci" Kotsyubayl" .
In the future, Alina Mykhaylova began to put pressure on Valery Zaluzhny in various ways with the demand to transfer the Da Vinci Wolves battalion under the command of her close friend and partner in the "developer racket" - Serhiy Filimonov. At the same time, Filimonov lacked the necessary qualifications and authority to lead the battalion.
Despite Zaluzhny's objections, Mykhailova was eventually able to lobby through the Office of the President for the appointment of Serhiy Filimonov as the commander of the Da Vinci Wolves.
On the same day, the representatives of the battalion responded that they categorically disagree with the appointment: "In connection with the numerous appeals to us by citizens after the information appeared in the media that Serhii Filimonov became the commander of the Da Vinci Wolves, we inform you that after the death of our commander Dmytro Kotsyubail ("Da Vinci"), our battalion - the 1st OSHB as part of the 67th OMBR DUK is always headed by Yury Kapustyak."
But, no matter what, a scandalous change of commander took place. For this reason, 1 OSHB was removed from the composition of the OMBR DUK and entered into the composition of the 59th separate motorized infantry brigade named after Yakov Handziuk. What happened again with the help of Alina Mykhaylova.
Wealthy Kombat Filimonov is the new face of the new Ukraine
Today, thanks to Alina, Filimonov is not only a screen star, a heroic combatant, a military expert and all that, but also a very wealthy person. He spends most of his time in television studios and on vacation in France and Portugal. Why he has time for war is not clear. It is also unclear where he has the money for a more than prosperous life.
Recently, Filimonov posted a whole series of photos with his family, in which you can see a chic $30,000 Rolex on his hand.
Can the battalion commander set aside such an amount for six months of war?
Probably not. And if you add that his wife also wears a $25,000 Rolex, then the idea of the legitimacy of the origin of these accessories recedes into the background.

Maybe Filimonov makes money from interviews, or collects travel donations, which he turns into expensive watches? Does the franchise "Da Vinci Wolves Battalion" that Mykhailo gave to him for use bring such an income?
Probably the "war with developers" was also only a source of surplus profits. In one of the interviews on the eve of the large-scale invasion, Filimonov said :
"I was offered money on each building - from 50,000 to 1 million dollars." And he added: "Here the question is: they offer money; if you refuse them, the police and the prosecutor's office take the money - criminal cases are opened." As you can see, Filimonovu decided "not to give up". And from a legal point of view, such actions qualify as "banal racketeering".
Even the "extremely principled" Alina Mykhaylova did not refuse. Mykhailova and Filimonov have repeatedly declared that they are at war with the developer Vitaly Khomutynnyk, but this did not prevent Mykhailova from becoming a member of Kyiv Council deputies from the "Voice" party, whose sponsor is Khomutynnyk.
And with the beginning of a full-scale invasion, Alina Mykhailova and Serhii Filimonov decided to profit from the war, the best proof of which is Filimonov's luxurious lifestyle, which he is not ashamed to flaunt on social networks.
As we can see, "new heroes" such as Serhiy Filimonov and Alina Mykhaylova, speculating on the topic of patriotism, are ordinary looters, and their activities and luxurious lifestyle should be the subject of law enforcement investigation.
