In the context of prolonged martial law, mobilization continues to operate in Ukraine, which covers all military men between the ages of 18 and 60. From July 1, 2025, updated approaches to the formation of combat units, while priority in the prize is given to persons with combat experience.
First of all, men who have already passed military service or have experience in combat will be called. This can significantly reduce the time of adaptation in the army and quickly complete the units. In addition, the mobilization also gets obliged without experience, but aged 25 to 60 years.
According to the updated legislation, the status of "restricted for service" was removed from circulation. Everyone who had such a record was to undergo a re -medical commission until June 5, 2025. The decision of this commission becomes decisive: a person is either suitable or unsuitable for military service.
It is emphasized that citizens who have previously been taken off but are now recognized as suitable are subject to mobilization on a general basis. The same applies to those who have lost the right to defer - for example, after the completion of a relative or dismissal from an educational institution.
Internal displaced persons are also not released from military duty. They must be registered in the territorial centers of staff within seven days from the moment of arrival at a new place of residence.
Men aged 18 to 25 years of mobilization are not subject to the status of a conscript. However, they can voluntarily conclude a contract for service within the framework of the Ministry of Defense Program 18-24, which provides a short -term but paid service for those who want.
All mobilization procedures are governed by the Law of Ukraine "On Mobilization Training and Mobilization", and the evasion or provision of false data during military accounting provides administrative or criminal liability.
