The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine does not plan to make any personnel appointments during the next two plenary weeks. As reported by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak, new appointments, including the candidacy of the Prosecutor General, can be considered only after the inauguration in February, closer to the middle of the month.
According to Zheleznyak, the parliament currently has no plans for personnel changes, in particular for the position of Prosecutor General. This issue will be resolved after January 20, when the inauguration will take place, and consideration of the candidates will be postponed to February.
Recall that Andriy Kostin resigned from the position of Prosecutor General in October 2023. The Verkhovna Rada approved his dismissal, and on October 31, Volodymyr Zelensky officially dismissed Kostin.
