The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine does not plan personnel appointments during the next two plenary weeks. As People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported, new appointments, including the candidacy of the Prosecutor General, can be considered only after the inauguration in February, closer to the middle of the month.
According to Zheleznyak, the parliament currently has no plans for personnel changes, particularly in the position of the Prosecutor General. This issue will be decided after January 20, when the inauguration will take place, and the consideration of nominations will be postponed to February.
We will remind that Andriy Kostin resigned from the post of Prosecutor General in October 2023. The Verkhovna Rada approved his dismissal, and on October 31, Volodymyr Zelenskyi officially dismissed Kostin.
