Former head of the State Investment Project and current deputy of the Transcarpathian Regional Council Vladyslav Kaskiv is once again participating in the construction of a ski resort in Pylypets. Bihus.Info reports.
According to journalists, in recent months Kaskiv has been meeting regularly in Kyiv with MP Serhiy Lyovochkin, as well as other developers and former officials. In addition, Kaskiv and Lyovochkin met with MP Ihor Palytsia, who confirmed discussions of plans for the resort.
The project also involves former president of Kyivmiskbud Ihor Kushnir and businessman Valeriy Kodetsky, and together with Renata Huseynova (Kaskiv's common-law wife) and Andriy Vingranovsky, they are co-owners of Borzhava Center LLC.
Journalists have documented that people close to Kaskiv have already registered land rights in Pylypets. Huseynova's father and Austrian investor Gernot Leitner received an easement for 25 hectares for the installation of ski lifts.
In parallel, the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration submitted a project to change the purpose of forest areas for recreation, which allows their development. The regional council changed the boundaries of the Temnatik reserve, reducing its area by 240 hectares. Experts believe that the changes affected precisely those areas that interfere with the construction of the resort.
In total, the new project could cover up to 800 hectares. Earlier, in the 2010s, Kaskiv promoted the construction of a resort as part of the national project “Olympic Hope”, which was not implemented. At that time, he was accused of embezzlement of public funds.
In 2024, MP Kaskiv, according to journalists, forced villagers to sell land plots for a new resort, and in case of refusal, promised to simply "squeeze" the land.
