In the summer of 2024, the Political Party "Strong Ukraine", which was previously headed by Sergey Tigipko, received a new leader - Batra Usarov. His name was almost not appeared in the political space, but appeared in the court register due to criminal cases.
According to the public movement "Honest", in 2017 Usarov, together with several comrades, was involved in two incidents - an attempt to abduct concrete slabs and theft of a drying complex. And in 2023 he was detained again - this time for stealing headphones. In all cases, he received a conventional period.
Public activists say that the appointment of a little -known party headed by a party who does not lead active political activity may indicate the sale of a political brand. This is a typical practice where registration and legal status structures are transferred to new owners.
It is worth noting that "Strong Ukraine" has not shown serious activity in the political field in recent years, but maintained the status of an officially registered party.
The question remains open: whether Usarov has political ambitions, whether its appointment is only a technical step within the framework of changing the party structure.
