The Center for Combating Misinformation has reported a new threat-the enemy uses Shahhed-type drones, equipped with capsules with poisonous substance. In particular, in one of these UAVs found a concentrated capsule with a CS -toxic chemical irritant.
This information has already been confirmed by the Ukrainian special services and the State Emergency Service.
“It is known that one of the UAV found a capsule with a concentrated combat poisonous substance" CS ". It is a highly toxic substance of irritant action. Enemy UAVs can scatter capsules with a poisonous substance for the purpose of damage to people, ”the CPD noted.
At the same time, the center emphasized that information that drones are allegedly treated with poisonous substances have not been confirmed.
CS (2-chlorobenzalmalononitrile) was first synthesized in 1928, but its active use began in 1956, when it was converted into an aerosol. Since then, CS is widely used to suppress mass protests and during rally acceleration - mainly in the form of chemical grenades.
The Ukrainian military has repeatedly reported cases of dumping such grenades from drones during hostilities. The case of use of capsules with CS in Shakhdah has already been reported.
It is important to understand that the use of tears as a means of war is prohibited by international law - the 1925 Geneva Protocol and the Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. Therefore, such actions are classified as a military crime.
In parallel in the Ukrainian media, another alarming version began to circulate - they say that the Russians process the drones themselves with chemicals to poison those who collect debris. However, these data have not been confirmed and may be part of the information war, including the push of the Russians themselves.
Experts urge to keep vigilance, not touch the wreckage of drones without protective equipment and report suspicious cases to special services.
