Prosecutor Ihor Chub achieved a lifetime pension through the court and continues to work in the prosecutor's office

After the high-profile scandal with “disabled prosecutors,” which resulted in Andriy Kostin being forced to resign, a new scheme is being developed under the new Prosecutor General, Ruslan Kravchenko – additional accrual of “pension payments” to current prosecutors in parallel with their salaries.

In this context, it is worth mentioning Kharkiv prosecutor Ihor Chub, who won a lifetime pension through the court, which is now paid in addition to his salary.

Thus, according to the Unified State Register of Court Decisions, on October 23, 2019, Ihor Chub filed a lawsuit with the Kharkiv District Administrative Court, demanding that the actions of the regional Pension Fund be recognized as illegal. The case was transferred to Judge Bidonko A.V. But on November 4, the prosecutor withdrew the application - he asked to leave it without consideration for further processing. The next day, the court officially returned the documents.

However, Chub did not stop there. He filed an identical lawsuit again, this time to another judge, O.M. Titov, who already ruled in favor of the prosecutor on December 3. This may indicate an attempt to select a loyal judge to implement the planned scheme.

In the lawsuit, Chub demanded that the pension be calculated without a maximum limit and that the amount of salary not be limited when calculating the pension. At the same time, the prosecutor claimed that he had allegedly worked in the system for 20 years.

After the decision was made, the Pension Fund filed an appeal, but did not even pay the mandatory court fee - only 1,152 UAH. Because of this, the Second Administrative Court of Appeal left the complaint without action, giving a deadline to eliminate the violation. However, the fund's lawyers did not take any action until January 13, 2020. As a result, the complaint was returned.

Thus, Igor Chub received a lifetime pension, which is now paid in addition to his salary.

Prosecutor Ihor Mykolayovych Chub also owns significant family assets , including four apartments in Kharkiv, a garden house, land plots and the right to use a residential building in the United Kingdom. It is worth noting that the sources of the assets that Kharkiv prosecutor Ihor Chub has accumulated should become the subject of study by anti-corruption authorities.
