The Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine (GUR) recently launched a new communication channel to receive critical information about the movement of enemy equipment and troops via the popular messenger Viber. The move allows citizens located both in the temporarily occupied territories and in Russia to anonymously and securely transmit data on military movements that may be of strategic importance.
According to the press service of the GUR, over the two years of operation of the main intelligence bot, Ukraine has received a significant number of requests that helped to hit the enemy. The technologies of the Viber version of the bot are designed in such a way as to guarantee the maximum level of security for users who contact them. All communications and informants' data are protected from access by enemy special services.
"We have thoroughly tested this communication channel, and we can say that no hostile party will be able to access your data or correspondence. This is important for the safety of our informants," said Andriy Yusov, a representative of the GUR.
