The State Property Fund of Ukraine sold the Kiev Auto repair plant in the center of the capital for UAH 310 million. The winner of the auction was the little -known company "Magistralbudtrade", created only two years ago. Behind it is a change of names, a wide range of activity and the incomprehensible origin of capital.
The factory is located in an extremely attractive place - near the Shulyavska metro station. The lot includes 71 real estate with a total area of more than 26 700 m², as well as a land plot of 9.8 hectares. Formally, it is a defense enterprise, and land is intended for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The new owner is a company with 101 types of activity
Magistralbudtrade LLC, which became the winner of the auction, was registered in 2022. During this time, the company has included more than 100 activities in the NACE: from construction and logistics - to the delivery of food and trade in tobacco.
The director and owner of the firm is Yevgen Zabolotny. There is no public information about it, it is not known in business or construction circles.
Former director of the company Serhiy Seko - a corporate lawyer who until 2023 managed the same legal entity called "Sheiron Leader". He told reporters that he was not familiar with the new owner and only fulfilled the legal transfer of the company at the request of third parties.
Question to change the purpose
The land on which the former plant is located has the intended purpose - for the placement and maintenance of facilities of the Armed Forces. To change its functional purpose, such as for the construction of a residential or commercial fund, it requires approval of both the Kyiv City Council and the Cabinet of Ministers.
However, the practice of recent years has shown that such "issues" are often detoured - through political agreements, courts or loud renovations on paper. It is unknown whether the plant will retain its defensive status, whether it will turn into another "elite" overlooking the victory avenue.
The privatization of strategic objects in attractive locations of Kiev is again under the sign "All transparent", but with those who do not cause confidence. Who is actually behind the "Magistralbudtrade", and what interests they lie in the change of the owner of the defense plant - a question that requires the attention of anti -corruption bodies and the public.
