The director of "Zaporizhelektrotrans" caused indignation by issuing an order to his subordinates to dismantle tram rails at the utility company's own expense, even with the availability of separate funds from the subcontract agreement. Information about this incident became known through the Unified State Register of Court Cases.
At the beginning of last year, the leadership of KP, including the former general director Yuriy Papach and his deputies, was officially announced as a suspect in the embezzlement of the sum of 640 thousand hryvnias.
According to the investigation, Papach and his deputies, in violation of the law, accused subordinates of free dismantling of tram tracks on Solidarity Street and Shevchenko Street in Zeleny Yar, although the workers were supposed to receive appropriate payment.
The management transferred the funds intended for this repair to the third-party company "Budrekonstruktsia" LLC. As a result of this and due to unpaid salaries and fuel costs, "Zaporizhelektrotrans" suffered losses in the amount of 639.4 thousand hryvnias.
Investigators demanded 24-hour house arrest for the three defendants, but the court refused, recognizing that personal commitment was sufficient.
