On Monday, October 20, the world honors chefs and culinary experts, and the Orthodox Church honors warriors. In Ukraine, this day is dedicated to women's health. What is the church holiday today

On October 20, Christians commemorate the holy great martyr Artemius of Antioch, a Roman military commander who suffered for his faith in Christ and did not renounce his faith even under torture.
According to the old style, on this day they also commemorate the Monk Sergius of the Caves and the martyr Bacchus.

On this day, believers pray for the health of Ukrainian soldiers, ask for victory, the return of the defenders home, and the protection of the country from enemies.

  • to break promises;

  • quarrel and insult others;

  • to schedule a wedding or make a marriage proposal - it is believed that such a couple will not be happy.
