In Odessa, the court found the doctor Natalia Zaltzman in bribery. For $ 400, she agreed to organize a fictitious hospitalization of children.
The Primorsky District Court of Odessa adopted a verdict on Natalia Zaltzman - Head of Pediatric Department №2 of Children's City Hospital №3. The doctor pleaded guilty to obtaining an undue benefit and received a penalty and prohibition to occupy leading positions during the year.
As the investigation was established, Saltzman began to work in post at the end of May 2024. Already in October, she demanded $ 500 from the local resident for the decoration of the fictitious hospitalization of her children. The document should also state that the father of children was allegedly in hospital for hospital treatment.
After several conversations, the amount of "service" decreased to $ 400. On November 13, 2024, the family visited the hospital. After the fake hospitalization was issued the next day, the doctor received the stipulated amount and was detained by law enforcement.
In court, Natalia Zaltzman pleaded guilty, expressed repentance and confirmed the circumstances set out in the indictment. The court took into account its sincere repentance, cooperation with the investigation and the absence of aggravating circumstances.
As a result, the court fined the doctor for UAH 25,500 and forbade management positions in medical institutions during the year. Prison was not intended because the court concluded that it could be corrected without isolation from society.
