One missile every three hours: is Ukraine capable of this?

Ukraine has the potential to produce three thousand cruise missiles annually, as previously stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyi. Such an ambitious plan can become an important stage in strengthening the country's defense capabilities, but for its implementation, a number of tasks need to be solved, including the conclusion of appropriate contracts and the provision of necessary materials.

According to Forbes Ukraine , the key issue remains the cost of production. Estimates of the publication "Military" indicate that the production of three thousand missiles will cost at least 3 billion dollars. This does not take into account the costs of purchasing new machines and expanding production capacity.

Are these rates real?
Experts have different points of view. Serhiy Zgurets, director of Defense Express, notes that to achieve the goal, eight missiles must be manufactured per day, or one every three hours. These are rates that exceed even Russia's capabilities in the field of rocket engineering.

At the same time, the implementation of this project will require solving several critical issues:

  • Decentralization of production. In order to protect against enemy attacks.
  • Stable supply of components. Most of the critical elements are currently imported.
  • Optimization of the process. Simplification of technological chains and improvement of efficiency.

Zelenskyi's plan looks ambitious and promising, but its implementation requires significant efforts, funding and international coordination. If Ukraine manages to overcome all the challenges, it could be a breakthrough in the military sphere and significantly strengthen its position in the war.
