Dynamo Kyiv carried out transfer reinforcement, signing a contract with 29-year-old defender Valery Luchkevich. The football player went into the status of a free agent and signed an agreement by the end of the 2024/25 season.
Valery Luchkevich is a pupil of Zaporizhzhya Metalurh, but he made a real breakthrough in professional football as part of Dnipro. It was in this club that he made his debut in the Ukrainian Premier League in 2014. In the same year, the young defender received a prestigious award "Golden Talent of Ukraine", which confirmed his status as one of the most promising players of the country.
The speed, endurance and versatility of Luchkevich attracted the attention of European clubs, and in 2017 he signed a contract with the Belgian Standard. However, he failed to adapt in Europe, so he soon returned to Ukraine.
In recent years, Luchkevich has advocated Alexandria, Dnipro-1 and Kolos, demonstrating a stable game in UPL. During his career, he played 148 matches in the Ukrainian Championship, scored 12 goals, and also performed in the youth and youth national teams of Ukraine.
In his first interview after signing the contract, the football player said that he did not hesitate for a long time:

He also confessed that, despite the slight break in playing practice, he was ready to return to the form and fight for a place in the Kiev team as soon as possible.
Luchkevich emphasized that from childhood he knows: "Dynamo" is a team that should always fight for the championship. His main goal is to prove the coaching staff that he is able to help the team in the fight for titles and re -reach his highest level.
