On July 20, a solemn closing ceremony of the 15th Odesa International Film Festival (OMF) was held in Kyiv, where this year's winners were announced.
Due to a full-scale invasion, the festival was moved from Odesa to Kyiv, but this did not prevent the organizers from holding the event at a high level. The names of the laureates were published on the OMCF Instagram page.
Best European Film and other awards
The main award for "Best European Film" went to "Almost Nothing", directed by Polish Grzegorz Dembowski.
Other important awards:
- "Second special mention" went to the Norwegian film "Sex" directed by Dag Johan Haugerud.
- The "Special Mention" award was presented to the film "Blueberry Dreams", directed by Elena Mikaberidze.
- The FIPRESCI prize from the International Federation of the Film Press was awarded to the Ukrainian documentary film "Perun's Pipe" directed by Evgeny Mazurenko.
- The best documentary film : Ksenia Kravtsova's film "Glyadelov".
- The best feature film : "Grey Bees" directed by Dmytro Moiseev.
Special Mentions and Music Awards:
- "First special mention" : the film "Oxygen Station" by Ivan Tymchenko.
- "Second Special Mention" : the tape "Yasa" directed by Serhiy Masloboyshchikov.
- Prize for the best music : the tape "Oxygen Station".
Solemn ceremony and star guests
The solemn closing ceremony was attended by many Ukrainian celebrities, including actors Olga Sumska, Iryna Kudashova, Taras Tsymbalyuk, Ostap Stupka and others. The event was distinguished by bright performances and a festive atmosphere, emphasizing the importance of Ukrainian cinema in the world context.
