As a result of the investigation by the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), a relative of a Lviv businessman became the object of searches. According to information from the SBI, this man was discovered in connection with the suspicion of making arrangements with the purchase of clothing for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The name of a specific person was not specified in the official message, but a source of the BBC of Ukraine, referring to law enforcement agencies, claims that it is Roman Hrynkevich. It is important to note that this man is the son of Lviv developer Ihor Grynkevich, who himself was detained last December.
Representatives of the SBI reported that they uncovered the activities of a criminal organization that carried out fraudulent schemes in the procurement of clothing for the military. Previously conducted searches and detentions became an integral part of this investigation.
Currently, one of the members of the organization has not yet been found, and the SBI called on citizens to report any information regarding his whereabouts. It is worth noting that his crossing of the border was not officially recorded.
On the day of the arrests, Roman's fiancee, the artist Sonia Morozyuk, made a statement about breaking off relations with him.
On January 17, the artist Sonia Morozyuk decided to end her relationship with Roman Hrynkevich and expressed her resolute refusal to further marry him. In her post on Instagram, she announced her intention to sell all the gifts, which included jewelry and a wedding ring, and donate the proceeds to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Sonia Morozyuk in the post expressed her feeling of betrayal and disappointment in connection with the actions of Roman Hrynkevich, whom she considers a person who committed treason to his country. She emphasized that she will not take the surname Hrynkevich and does not plan to marry someone who betrays patriotic values.
The artist's post caused a large number of reactions in social networks. Some users support her determination and determination, but the majority expressed a negative attitude, asking why she did not make such a decision earlier and highlighting questions about her property, which, they say, was given to her by Roman Hrynkevich.
In her post, Sonia Morozyuk rejects any suspicions of receiving additional gifts or property from Roman or his family, claiming that all her property, acquired last year, is the result of her own efforts and financial investments.
On January 11, the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) seized luxury real estate, premium cars, as well as property and accounts of companies controlled by Ihor Hrynkevich. However, the official notification did not indicate whether the apartments of the artist Sonia Morozyuk belonged to the seized property.
Ihor Hrynkevich has already become the object of two suspicions. The first suspicion relates to an episode from December 2023, when he was allegedly suspected of trying to pay a bribe of $500,000 to one of the heads of the DBI.
The second suspicion is related to the creation of a criminal organization. According to the SBI, Ihor Hrynkevich created an organization with the purpose of illegally seizing budget funds. It is noted that as part of this scheme, he entered into contracts with the Ministry of Defense for the supply of low-quality military clothing, causing losses to the Ukrainian budget of almost a billion hryvnias.
As a result of the scandals, the Ministry of Defense decided to terminate agreements with companies related to the Hrynkevich family, which are considered to be one of the main suppliers. The businessman's son, Roman Hrynkevich, said that he was sure that his family's activities were within the limits of current legislation. It is known that the son actually owns one of the firms that had contracts with the Ministry of Defense, while his father formally left the ownership of the companies earlier.
