Naftogaz reported a significant increase in gas production in Ukraine. In the first ten months of 2024, the companies that are part of the Group - JSC Ukrgazvydobuvannya and PJSC Ukrnafta - together produced over 12.3 billion cubic meters of gas. This is 6% more than in the same period in 2023.
This result indicates the stable development of the industry, despite the difficult conditions caused by military operations in the country. An important part of this process was the introduction of new technologies and the launch of wells, which allow to improve the daily gas flow rate.
“Despite the military actions, our specialists continue to drill new wells and steadily increase gas production. We are doing everything possible to guarantee Ukrainians a stable heating season using their own fuel,” said Oleksiy Chernyshov, Chairman of the Naftogaz Group.
According to the company, a new well was recently launched, providing an additional volume of gas of over 110 thousand cubic meters per day, which significantly increases the possibilities for stable gas supply in Ukraine.
