British intelligence notes that the situation at the front in Ukraine continues to be tense, and the Russian occupation forces, although they are concentrating their main efforts on the Avdiyiv-Pokrovsky direction, are suffering significant losses and achieving only small successes.
This is stated in the intelligence review of the British Ministry of Defense for June 4.
As noted in the department, a high level of operational activity of the occupying army of the Russian Federation was observed in the indicated direction during the last 72 hours.
The occupiers achieved minor successes in the northern part of this sector in the direction of the villages of Sokil and Yevgenivka. On a parallel axis about 3 km to the south, Russian troops are probably approaching the outskirts of the village of Novoselivka Persha, the intelligence added.
Farther south, the Russians did not make significant progress, despite intense shelling of Ukrainian positions west of the village of Netaylové along the E50 highway, the review said.
In addition, Russian attacks on the village of Nevelske have been repulsed, and the village likely remains under Ukrainian control.
"Over the next week, this sector will likely remain an area of significant operational focus as Russian forces attempt to maintain operational momentum despite significant losses," the review said.
