After a long hiatus, Oleg Vinnyk, one of the most popular Ukrainian singers, has once again performed for his fans. His concert in the Czech capital, Prague, was the first major event for the performer during the full-scale war. Despite the warm reception from European fans, the event caused a mixed reaction among the Ukrainian audience, as the artist left Russian-language songs in his repertoire.
The corresponding video appeared on the Telegram channel "Scandal". In the published recording, you can see that during the performance, the artist performed the song "Happiness", and his fans sang along with him.
However, Oleg Vinnyk's decision to entertain the audience with Russian-language songs caused real outrage among Internet users, who, without holding back their emotions, shared their thoughts about the performer's act:
"I don't understand how they still have to destroy your country and your countrymen so that the vaunted "Ukrainian principledness" that Stalin fought so hard against returns to them.".
“Once upon a time, back in 2014-2015, my mother was very fond of him, his songs were on her phone, she watched all the concerts. And I kept saying that this was nonsense and that he was a “cunning guy” for me. It turns out that my intuition did not let me down.”.
It should be noted that Vynnyk's concert with songs in the language of the aggressor country caused negative reactions among Ukrainians not without reason. The fact is that, as the author of the Telegram channel KIRS_TV recalled, in 2023 the singer gave an interview in which he noted: "If I opened my mouth on stage in Russian, I would simply hate myself.".
However, it seems that Oleg Vynnyk's principles have changed somewhat since then.
