The director of the municipal enterprise of the Odessa Regional Council "Regional Office of International Cooperation in the Odessa Region" Oleksandr Sheka received a gift of 700 thousand hryvnias from the mother of Larisa Sheka, head of the financial and economic support department of the Department of Social and Family Policy of the Odessa Regional State Administration. This is evidenced by the published declarations of officials.
According to the declaration, Oleksandr Sheka owns three land plots in the Mykolaiv region (total area over 5.2 hectares) in the villages of Rybakivka, Krasnopillya and Tuzly, with ownership shares of 1% each. He also owns an apartment in Odessa (a building under construction).
The family owns a KIA Sportage (2018) worth 813 thousand hryvnias. Another car, a Mazda CX-9 (2019), was sold on October 11, 2025 for 691 thousand hryvnias.
Oleksandr Sheka's main income in 2024 was UAH 290,000 in salary as director of a municipal enterprise. In addition, he received UAH 3,000 in "ePidrymka zimova" benefits. Yulia Sheka's wife received UAH 10,320 in child benefits from the local social security department.
The family has a loan from the State Fund for Youth Housing: as of the end of 2024, the outstanding debt was UAH 600,000, with UAH 37.6 thousand of the principal amount of the debt paid during the year.
Oleksandr's mother, Larysa Sheka, declared an income of UAH 966.74 thousand in salary and UAH 168 thousand in pension in 2024. Larysa's husband owns a land plot and an apartment in the Mykolaiv region, as well as a GAZ 31105 (2005) passenger car.
At the same time, in the income section for 2025, Larisa Sheka indicated 300 thousand hryvnias from the sale of real estate, but there is no information about the source of funds for 700 thousand hryvnias for a gift to her son. Judging by the declarations, the family did not have sufficient financial resources for such a gift.
