After his triumph over Tyson Fury in December 2024, Oleksandr Usyk not only consolidated his champion status, but also significantly increased his net worth - his fortune is already estimated at over $214 million, according to the GiveMeSport portal.
The historic rematch between Usyk and Fury, which took place at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, was not only a sporting event, but also a financial record. The Ukrainian not only retained the WBA, WBC and WBO heavyweight titles, but also received a fee that became one of the largest of his career.
Analysts at GiveMeSport have included Usyk in the top five richest boxers of all time. According to the publication, he earned about $100 million for his second victory over Fury alone.
Saudi Arabia, which has been heavily investing in global sporting events in recent years, has dramatically changed the financial landscape of boxing. It is thanks to Saudi contracts that top boxers' fights bring record profits - and Usyk's fights have become one of the most striking examples of this trend.
It is particularly impressive that the Ukrainian has amassed his fortune in just eight heavyweight bouts. And although Usyk is already 38 years old and likely has only a few big fights ahead of him, every time he steps into the ring he becomes a financial event of international proportions.
The fight with Daniel Dubois, which ended in a knockout, also brought the Ukrainian a multi-million dollar check. Thanks to the combination of sportsmanship, consistent victories and lucrative contracts, Usyk naturally found himself among the most successful and richest boxers in the world.
