It has been officially confirmed: the rematch between Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk and Briton Daniel Dubois will take place on July 19 in London at the legendary Wembley Stadium.
For Usyk, this will be an opportunity to become the absolute heavyweight champion for the second time. The Ukrainian currently holds the WBC, WBA and WBO belts. He voluntarily relinquished the IBF belt, which he also previously held, in 2024, allowing Dubois to become the holder of this title.
The first meeting between Usyk and Dubois took place in August 2023. Then the Ukrainian won by technical knockout in the ninth round, despite a controversial moment in the fifth round, when Dubois landed a blow below the belt.
Organizers expect the rematch to be one of the most high-profile events in the boxing world this summer, given the scale of the fight and the weight of the titles that will be at stake.
The fight between Usyk and Dubois at Wembley could gather tens of thousands of fans and become an important milestone for both athletes: a victory would open up new opportunities in the careers of each of them.
