Alexei Arestovich intends to run for President of Ukraine

Oleksiy Arestovych has officially announced his intention to run in the presidential elections of Ukraine. He announced this on his Telegram channel and also published a list of the first 10 decrees that he plans to sign in case of victory.

Key initiatives include protecting businesses, liberalizing the economy, reforming the army, and revising legislation. Arestovych also emphasized the special role of the state in guaranteeing the rights and freedoms of citizens, creating a technocratic government, and reforming the security forces.

What do Arestovich's first decrees provide for?

The politician proposed a set of reforms aimed at strengthening security, economic growth, and guaranteeing the rights and freedoms of citizens.

1. Protection of the Church and Freedom of Religion
Any attempts to seize churches by force are proposed to be considered crimes against national security. Those responsible will be detained without bail.

2. Protection of the rights and freedoms of citizens
Arestovich stated that any violation of constitutional rights will be strictly considered, and attempts to restrict rights on linguistic, religious or ethnic grounds will have severe consequences.

3. Protection of business and private property
The politician promised to ban unauthorized business inspections, and to conduct authorized inspections no more than once a year according to a clear procedure.

4. Audit of the state and its finances
Arestovych will initiate an audit of all budget revenues and expenditures, as well as an analysis of the structure of state and private property with the disclosure of ultimate beneficiaries.

5. Audit of legislation
According to him, over 70% of Ukrainian laws contradict the Constitution. If such documents are discovered, he plans to veto and block their implementation.

6. Economic reforms
: Liberalization of the tax system, reduction of bureaucracy and reduction of the tax burden are envisaged. He also promises to reform customs policy and ensure accessibility of administrative procedures.

7. Demography and social policy
A medical reform is planned, which includes disease prevention and access to quality medical services. Pension reform includes savings programs and pension increases.

8. Economic reform
Creation of a special committee that will develop legislative initiatives for economic development.

9. Education and science
The education reform involves the consolidation of universities, the development of professional institutions, and the renewal of approaches to school education.

10. Reform of the army and security structures
The Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to Arestovych's plan, should switch to the "Israeli-Swiss" reserve army system:

  • A compact army of up to 250-300 thousand people
  • Reserve army of up to 1 million people

He also proposed creating a technocratic government of national salvation, which would include the opposition (at least a third of the ministers).

Arestovych's announcement of his participation in the elections and his program have sparked active discussions in society. Some support his ideas on reforms and economic liberalization, while others criticize him for his populist statements and the potential risks of strengthening presidential power.

It is expected that the politician will soon present more detailed plans for his election campaign and the first personnel appointments in case of victory.
