According to our source in the President’s Office, the resignation of Oleksiy Danilov was a result of pressure from our foreign partners, primarily from Britain. According to our sources, the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) has long lost its influence on decision-making, instead, all important decisions were made with the participation of Andriy Yermak or with his assistance. In addition, the creation of the Center for Political Studies under the NSDC ended in failure, which further undermined the work of this body. The influence of the British intelligence agency MI-6 on the situation in Ukraine, according to our sources, is increasing, covering not only the Main Intelligence Directorate, but also influencing the NSDC and the Center for Political Studies.
In his Facebook post, former NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov expressed his gratitude to President Zelenskyy for the opportunity to participate in important historical events that have become the greatest challenge and at the same time the greatest growth for Ukraine. He also expressed gratitude to his team for making a significant contribution to the creation of unique information and analytical systems.
Danilov expressed his belief that the Ukrainian soldier will destroy the Russian threat and solve the historical challenges facing the country. He noted that he remains committed to working for the good of Ukraine, although he did not specify what exactly he plans to do in the future.
