Famous Ukrainian actress Olesya Zhurakivska has temporarily moved from her own apartment on the right bank of Kyiv to a rented one on the left bank. The reason was a hostile “arrival” near her home, after which the actress’s relatives insisted on moving for safety reasons.
The actress moved into her new apartment near the Kyiv Academic Drama and Comedy Theater, which she directs. Zhurakivska noted that it is now more convenient for her to get to work, especially during curfew hours.
“I didn’t plan to move, but it ‘flew’ to the neighboring house in Teremki, it was burning terribly there, my relatives got scared and said: ‘Olesya, we have to move.’ They moved me to an apartment for filming. I’m not far from the theater, it’s close to me. During the war, it’s very good, because there’s a curfew, and I sometimes stay up late,” the actress said.
Zhurakivska added that she does not regret the move and even enjoys the new views. The windows of her apartment offer a view of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra and other landmarks of the left bank. “It’s beautiful there. I was born on the right bank and I never looked at the left bank, I didn’t think it was so beautiful there,” the actress noted.
