Pelishenko became famous as the captain of the once popular KVC team “Odessa Gentlemen.” The comedian was 71 years old. The exact cause of his death has not been disclosed.
Pelishenko was considered one of the brightest representatives of the Ukrainian comedy genre. His talent and charisma always attracted the attention of the audience. He was born on July 22, 1953 in the city of Odesa.
Sviatoslav Pelishenko became famous thanks to his participation in the KVC team “Odessa Gentlemen”, where he acted as captain. He impressed the audience with his liveliness, sharp mind and ability to find ways out of unusual situations.
However, in addition to his comedic talent, Pelishenko was also a recognized expert in the field of physics. He earned a PhD in Physics and Mathematics and worked in the scientific field for many years.
Svitlana Fabrikant, an Odesa journalist and MP, a former member of the Odessa Gentlemen team, wrote about the loss of her friend on her personal Facebook page. She showed archival and relatively recent photos of Pelishenko.
“How much grief… The captain has left us… Svyatoslav Pelishenko… Glory… A great child… Infinitely talented, infinitely wise, uncompromisingly fair and honest, terribly modest and very loved by all of us, the entire team. Because – dear!” – began Fabrikant.

The journalist assured that Pelishenko “loved his Odessa very much, dedicated books, poems, and even songs to it.”.

It's just that the showman spent the last 33 years of his life in Russia. That's why propaganda media outlets now, when reporting on the celebrity's death, call him a "Russian" screenwriter and comedian.
The artist's social media was inactive - he posted almost nothing. Accordingly, there were no anti-war posts or statements in support of his native Odessa on Pelishenko's page.
Note that Svyatoslav Pelishenko played in the KVC for many years, was the captain of the “Odessa Gentlemen” team. Since 1991, he has been in charge of the humor department on television. He was one of the authors of the programs “Gorodok”, “Blue Light on Shabalivka”, “Saturday Evening”, “Song of the Year” and other entertainment programs. In 2007, he became the winner of the “TEFI” award as a screenwriter of the program “Gorodok”.
