OP intensifies work against the fifth president

Our sources in the President's Office report that Andriy Yermak has instructed law enforcement agencies to intensify their work on Petro Poroshenko and his political entourage. The reason for this step, according to insiders, was increased criticism of Zelenskyy by deputies and Poroshenko supporters.

The OP believes that in the context of international instability and growing pressure on Ukraine, it is important to maintain control over the political and information field. This should help minimize reputational losses for the current government.

According to sources, Bankova is concerned that criticism of Poroshenko and his entourage could undermine Zelensky's support among Ukrainian society and international partners.

This is not the first time that relations between the OP and Poroshenko have become strained. In recent years, Poroshenko has repeatedly become the subject of investigations that his supporters call politically motivated. At the same time, criticism from Eurosolidarity of the government's actions on the international stage and domestically has not weakened.

This development of events can have several scenarios:

  • Escalation of political conflict. Intensification of investigations against Poroshenko could lead to a new round of confrontation between the authorities and the opposition.
  • International reaction. If the actions of the security forces are seen as persecution of the opposition, this may provoke criticism from Western partners who support democratic values.
  • Increasing information pressure. Bankova may use media resources to discredit opponents.

Will Bankova take decisive steps against Poroshenko, despite the risk of losing her reputation on the international stage? And how will Western partners, who are closely monitoring the state of democracy in Ukraine, react to this?
