Oschadbank allocated a record loan for the reconstruction of a “secret” factory

Oschadbank has begun providing a multi-million loan for the reconstruction of one of the processing plants destroyed by Russia. According to the bank's press center, the loan amount is 360 million hryvnias, and it was received by an unnamed company, which is a leading exporter and leader in the production of food products in Ukraine.

The name of the borrower remains confidential for security reasons, but it is known that obtaining a loan was made possible thanks to the use of the state program “Affordable Loans 5-7-9%” and the state guarantee program. Deputy Chairman of the Board of Oschadbank, Yuriy Katsion, said that several financial products were used simultaneously to reduce the cost of the investments attracted to the enterprise.

Interestingly, the borrower has no collateral due to the completely destroyed production facilities. According to Katsion, this approach becomes key in this project, especially given the lack of collateral due to the destruction of production facilities.

It is expected that the loan will allow the company to resume production using working capital and the company's own efforts. The goal is to return to pre-war levels of production volumes, which had a significant share in the European and world markets before the war.

Lending at Oschadbank during the war: a new stage in supporting the processing sector

The press service of Oschadbank reports on the provision of a second giant loan for the processing sector in the amount of 360 million hryvnias. This initiative was a continuation of the bank's support for the industry, since at the end of last year a loan agreement was concluded with Astarta for the reconstruction of a plant for advanced soybean processing and the production of soy protein concentrate, estimated at $60 million.

Other financial news includes an initiative by state-owned PrivatBank, which plans to sell its clients' bad loans worth over half a billion hryvnias through electronic auctions.

Also, according to the Ministry for the Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, 877.5 million hryvnias were allocated for the program of preferential housing loans for internally displaced persons in 2024. During the implementation of the program, 650 loans were provided for a total amount of 902.3 million hryvnias.
