In Lviv, a large-scale outbreak of acute intestinal infection was recorded, which arose after visiting a Chinese cuisine restaurant, which belongs to the famous restaurateur and Food blogger Mishkha Catsurin. According to the latest reports, 70 people have already got to hospitals, 9 of which are children.
The first reports of poisoning appeared on July 17, when 56 people were known about hospitalization. The next day, the Lviv Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention reported an increase in the number of victims.
All patients seek medical help with similar symptoms: fever, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, severe abdominal pain and general weakness. In two cases, the laboratory confirmed the presence of Salmonella Enteritidis, one of the most dangerous pathogens.
During the epidemiological investigation, experts interviewed all hospitalized and drew. Common to all the victims was the dessert "Singapore Chizkeyk", which probably became the source of infection.
Experts selected 16 samples of products, checked drinking water and conducted a restaurant staff. The source of infection and its transmission factors are currently underway. The institution has complete disinfection.
The establishment works in the format of Asian cuisine and has recently been opened. Its founder is Misha Katsurin - a restaurateur and a blogger, known for his gastroprojects in Kiev. Katsurin himself publicly confirmed the fact of mass poisoning in his restaurant, promised to cooperate with the investigation and conduct an internal check.
