Children in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Kherson, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv, and Zaporizhia regions suffered the most as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation.
According to the information of the Prosecutor General's Office posted on Telegram, the occupiers took the lives and injured Ukrainian children. In particular, as of the morning of January 27, 2024, more than 1,736 children were injured, of whom 521 died and more than 1,215 were injured to varying degrees of severity.
These figures, according to official information from juvenile prosecutors, are preliminary, and work is ongoing to establish accurate data in places of hostilities, in temporarily occupied and liberated territories.
The most affected children were in Donetsk (505), Kharkiv (326), Kherson (146), Kyiv (130), Dnipropetrovsk (111), Mykolaiv (101), and Zaporizhia (100). High rates were also recorded in Chernihiv (72) and Luhansk (67) regions.
We will remind you that the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe adopted a resolution concerning the situation of Ukrainian children, both those who are being abducted and seeking to deprive Russia of their identity, and those who find refuge in the European Union.
