The Ministry of Health, together with law enforcement agencies, continues a large-scale review of MSEC decisions on disability determinations for civil servants. Over 2,000 cases from various state bodies are being reviewed, and over 800 decisions have already been canceled. Dozens of others have been changed or sent for re-examination.
The largest number of overturned decisions was recorded in the State Customs Service - 244 out of 587 reviewed, in the State Tax Service - 161 out of 423, among employees of the prosecutor's office - 162 out of 336, in the State Migration Service - 28 out of 70, and in the National Police - 16 out of 78. These data indicate a systemic problem: civil servants receive benefits and payments without due grounds.
It is in the context of these large-scale cancellations that we recall a high-profile case from the Khmelnytskyi region. The scandalously known former head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Prosecutor's Office, Oleksiy Oliynyk, despite the publicity due to his "disability", was reappointed to the position of prosecutor.
At the same time, the Prosecutor General’s Office continues its internal investigation into other prosecutors in Khmelnytskyi Oblast with suspected “disabilities.” The inspections are taking longer and have been extended, highlighting the scale of the problem and the urgent need for transparent oversight of pension payments to civil servants.
