The situation has escalated on three front lines in Ukraine - in the areas of Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Novopavlivka in the Donetsk region. This was reported by the spokesman for the Joint Forces Operation "Khortytsia" Nazar Voloshyn.
"The situation in the three most active areas – Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Novopavlovsk – has escalated over the past week. Intense fighting is taking place, but the situation is under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," he said.
The enemy is trying to gain a strategic advantage, break through the front line, and has focused its efforts on these three areas, trying to gain an advantage in troops and means.
"The enemy continues to attack along the entire front line, some areas are achieving tactical successes. However, in recent days there has been a dynamic change in the situation," Voloshin added.
The Russian army continues to attempt to storm the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, using various types of weapons - artillery, tanks, and drones.
“Also, recently the enemy has been actively using aviation for missile and bomb strikes,” the spokesman noted.
The occupiers continue their main goal of reaching the administrative borders of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. According to the commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavlyuk, in an interview with The Times, they also plan to capture the Zaporizhia region in case of success in Donbas.
