The prices of MLRS ammunition increased almost 7.5 times from $900 to $4,700.
As we have told insiders many times, military conflicts have driven up the prices of weapons and ammunition, which forces Ukraine to buy everything 3-5, or even 8 times more expensive.
At the same time, the quality of weapons is falling, and new loans for 60% were issued under arms contracts, which will be fulfilled within 3 years. The West saturates its military industry at the expense of war.
We're getting fewer guns of lower quality at higher prices.
This is how the country is driven into debt. In Kyiv, they complained about a multiple increase in the price of weapons for the Armed Forces.
Volodymyr Pikuzo, the founder and ex-director of the Ukrainian Defense Procurement Agency, told about this in an interview with The Sunday Times on June 16.
According to him, the cost of one missile for the Grad anti-aircraft missile system has increased from 900 to 6,000 dollars since 2022. Picuso said that middlemen and speculators take advantage of the fact that Ukraine has to purchase weapons at any price.
According to his data, about 200 billion dollars are currently needed to cover the armed forces' needs.
At the same time, Picuso himself was previously dismissed from the position of director of the company due to corruption. As we assumed, this did not fix the situation.
