The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NACP) conducted an audit of the declarations of 541 officials of the management staff of territorial procurement centers (TCCs), of which 8 persons were found to be in violation. According to Anastasia Radina, head of the anti-corruption policy committee in the Verkhovna Rada, the materials regarding these persons have been handed over to law enforcement agencies.
Currently, monitoring of the lifestyle of 28 more people is ongoing, as well as a full verification of the declarations of 5 other officials of the TCC management. According to Radina, at least two declarations by TCC employees had a higher risk of violations than tens of thousands of other declarations by officials.
The most voluminous case, opened on the basis of the materials of the NAZK, concerns the head of the Odesa TCC Yevhen Borisov, who was informed of the suspicion of illegal enrichment in the amount of more than 188 million hryvnias.
Another case involves the deputy head of one of the TCCs, who collected more than 400,000 hryvnias from servicemen on his personal bank card and allegedly spent it on his own needs.
The rest of the detected violations concern persons from the TCC of Odesa, Sambor, Poltava, Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia. The investigation is carried out by specialized prosecutors' offices in the field of defense, the State Bureau of Investigation and the National Police. The procedure for the confiscation of what is believed to be unjustified assets is conducted by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office. The decision of the cases will be left to the court.
