Tymoshenko's party used state funds to finance related companies - mass media

An investigation by the Chesno movement revealed potential corrupt links between the Batkivshchyna political party (formerly known as the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc) and dozens of companies receiving state funding. The analysis indicates that the party regularly made payments to companies whose managers previously worked as assistants to people's deputies from this political force.

Who does the money go to?

During the period from 2016 to 2023, "Batkivshchyna" repeatedly cooperated with "MC-Finance" LLC, transferring more than UAH 8.6 million to the company. The head of the association since 2009 is Volodymyr Shakalo, who also held the position of assistant to several people's deputies, including Oleg Bilorus, Oleksandr Turchynov, Valery Babenka, and Oleksandr Abdullin.

The report also states that since 2017, the party has been paying International Industrial Projects LLC, which has ties to Yulia Tymoshenko's family. The total amount transferred to this company amounted to over UAH 7 million.

In general, out of more than 120 companies that "Batkivshchyna" paid from state funding, a probable connection with the party was established in 22 counterparties. They received UAH 67 million from the political force. These figures indicate that "Batkivshchyna" actively uses state funds to support companies that are probably related to its activities.

The study also points to the risks of corruption schemes related to state financing of parties, which calls into question the transparency of financial flows and their legal use.
