Pensions in Ukraine will increase from January 2026 due to an increase in the subsistence minimum and minimum wage. This was stated by lawyer Ivan Khomych.
The subsistence minimum will increase from UAH 2,361 to UAH 2,595, and the minimum pension will reach UAH 2,595. The maximum pension will increase from UAH 23,610 to UAH 25,950. The minimum wage will increase from UAH 8,000 to UAH 8,647, which will affect the pensions tied to it.
The largest increase will be received by pensioners with full service: men - 35 years, women - 30 years. The additional payment for overtime will also increase: for each additional year of service, 25.95 UAH will be received instead of 23.61 UAH.
Disability payments will not change, but the increase in the subsistence minimum will raise the minimum pensions for this category from UAH 2,361 to UAH 2,595.
The size of the pension will depend on the length of service and official salary: the higher the earnings and the longer the length of service, the greater the accrual. The majority of Ukrainians are not threatened by a reduction in pensions - the law guarantees that the payment will not be lower than the previous level.
