An advanced path to Ukraine's economic stability: the role of the "Made in Ukraine" platform in times of war

At the end of January, the All-Ukrainian economic platform "Made in Ukraine" was launched by presidential decree. The creation of this platform is an important step in ensuring the economic stability of the country in the conditions of war, when it is necessary to use internal reserves.

The purpose of the platform is to unite the efforts of government bodies, business, foreign investors, as well as public associations to find joint solutions. This will reveal the internal potential of the economy and work on solving the problems caused by the long war.

In this context, the implementation of the platform idea involves the creation of both digital and physical spaces to simplify communication between stakeholders and develop specialized services. This will help to solve various tasks more efficiently and quickly.

"Made in Ukraine" should become a permanent body that advises the government and business. Her task includes restoration of business relations, support of domestic manufacturers and their localization, as well as promotion of Ukrainian goods on world markets.

In connection with the urgent need to solve a number of problems of Ukrainian business during the martial law, the mission of the "Made in Ukraine" platform was formulated, which includes the following:

  1. Ensuring the practical implementation of the right to entrepreneurial activity in conditions of military conflict.
  2. Lobbying the interests of domestic producers in creating a favorable and safe environment for production activities.
  3. Creation of a transparent and non-burdensome mechanism for constant communication and coordination of interaction between state authorities and business entities, including representatives of relocated enterprises, associations of entrepreneurs, sectoral associations and foreign investors.

At the same time, in order to ensure the preservation and development of entrepreneurial potential during and after the war, the platform will adapt the best international experience in stimulating entrepreneurial activity in crisis periods.

Since industry plays a key role in ensuring the country's economic stability, the platform will pay special attention to advancing the industrial agenda in Ukraine, including protecting domestic manufacturing potential during the prolonged impact of military challenges. The following approaches will be used for this:

  1. Formation of sectoral platforms for discussing and solving common problems, taking into account the peculiarities of sectoral economies.
  2. Creation of permanent working groups to analyze current industry problems and develop ways to solve them.
  3. Joint study and implementation of tools for recovery and stimulation of business activity of Ukrainian manufacturers.

In addition, the platform will provide support in solving the energy challenges of industry, including the development of alternative energy sources and energy-efficient technologies, which are critical for coal-dependent enterprises. Thus, the "Made in Ukraine" platform plans to actively implement strategies aimed at supporting and developing the industrial sector, ensuring the country's economic stability and competitiveness.

Therefore, the results of the operation of the "Made in Ukraine" platform can be determined by the following practical achievements:

  1. Searching for business partners and establishing business connections to increase the localization of production activities.
  2. Development of relevant industry business cases to help solve problems associated with changing regional factors of industrial development and the need to transform the energy sector.
  3. Creation of new producer support programs and development plans for the processing industry, facilitating access to financing and consulting services.

An additional goal of the platform is to facilitate access to international grant support for micro-enterprises and small enterprises, as well as the promotion of Ukrainian goods on world markets, in particular in Europe.

The effectiveness of the platform's work depends on the universality of its structure, which should be aimed at forming an ecosystem where solutions and consultations are provided on industry sites structured by types of economic activity and regions. Among the platform's priority areas of activity are the provision of consulting services on business administration and expertise in the regulatory and legal environment.

It is emphasized that the proposed directions and structural elements of the platform are subject to constant review and expansion, taking into account changes in security and economic conditions. Thus, the "Made in Ukraine" platform can become a flexible tool aimed at protecting national economic interests and forming internal reserves of the country's economic stability, with a special emphasis on small and medium-sized enterprises.
