The head of the tax committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Danylo Hetmantsev, said that 16 people with disabilities left the management of the State Tax Service (SST) after the inspection. He published this information in his Telegram channel.
According to Hetmantsev, in two days, the DPS raised all the materials regarding persons from the management, including regional representatives, who registered as disabled after February 24, 2022. In total, there were 17 such persons, of whom one person was disabled as a result of being wounded at the front. The remaining 16 men "made a strong-willed and honest decision to leave the service," the deputy noted.
Hetmantsev expressed hope for receiving similar information from other bodies subordinate to the tax committee, such as the State Customs Service, the Bureau of Economic Security, the State Financial Monitoring Service, the Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries, as well as the National Commission for Securities and the Stock Market.
This scandal occurred against the background of an investigation conducted by the Security Service of Ukraine together with other law enforcement agencies. In 2024, large-scale corruption schemes in medical and social expert commissions were exposed, as a result of which 4,106 fictitious conclusions about disability were canceled.
